The large double flowers are loosely filled and show their stamens. Their colour: cherry red with a lighter back and blueing. They grow in small clusters of 3 to 4 flowers and have a strong scent of soap. Loose growth, not upright like most Gallica roses. The branches have many prickles and bristles. The foliage is medium green. The plant is slightly overhanging.
