The flowers are warm golden yellow in the center and lighter yellow to cream on the outside. They are filled, cup-shaped and have a fruity scent where we notice lemon. The clusters have 8 to 30 flowers. The plant flowers all summer long, but during the 2 moments of main flowering it is all flower and you no longer see any leaves.
The foliage is medium to dark green and semi glossy.
Ideal in beds, groups, between perennials and in pots.
The rose 'Gëlle Fra' or 'Lady in Gold' is named after the statue that was placed in the capital Luxembourg in 1923. The monument commemorates the World War I volunteers from Luxembourg who fell on the Allied side. A stamp of this rose was also published.
