This rosebush is found in a catalog of the nurseryman Van Houtte (Ghent) in 1842. Double fragrant flowers in quarters with a green dot in the center. They discolor from dark purple-purple to mauve. Upright, sometimes with overhanging branches that has almost no thorns.
