This rambler has a bright appearance with clusters of large, semi-double flowers, creamy white with a light yellow centre and beautiful yellow stamens. Strongly scented and abundantly flowering in June-July with a light repeat-flowering in autumn.

Extended description

This Wichuraiana rambler is an eye-catcher from a distance because of its bright colour. The semi-double flowers are creamy white and soft lemon yellow in the centre. The golden yellow stamens are clearly visible and reinforce the colour. The flowers are bowl-shaped and strongly scented. Their main flowering in June-July is very exuberant, in September usually a light after-flowering occurs. ‘City of York' is a powerful rambler with healthy, dark green and shiny leaves. The branches are long and supple, making them easy to guide against a pergola or rose bower, a fence, a wall or a roof.
