Extended description

A Bracteata hybrid with unique, large, single flowers that open completely flat. They are pale yellow, slightly more intense yellow in the centre and fade to cream. The golden yellow stamens are prominently present and provide a beautiful whole. ‘Mermaid' is repeat-flowering until late October. The flowers are not scented. The branches grow strongly but slowly and have a lot of spines. The leaves are dark green, shiny and healthy. It is one of the few roses which retain their leaves but that may mean that the plant is not as frost-resistant. Can also be planted in the shade. It is best to plant against a wall, preferably sheltered from frost. It is best to grow on its own root and does not require pruning.
