This rose was already on the plant list of Weissenstein Castle in Wilhemshohe Kassel (DE) in 1806 and also belonged to the collection of Empress Josephine in la Malmaison. The medium-sized flowers are cup-shaped, quartered and double. They are fragrant. The plant has an upright growth, is almost thornless, the leaves are deep green and matte, which are typical characteristics of Gallica roses.
