A richly flowering and fragrant shrub with large old-fashioned double flowers and a unique orange-pink colour. The shrub has an upright growth and dark green leaves with a bluish-grey appearance.

The new rose 'Park Abbey Rose' forms a shrub that stands out with its unique colour. The large cup - shaped double flowers have a pink - orange colour that we have not yet noticed with roses . They have a moderate to strong flowers scent. The flowers are in clusters of 3, 5 sometimes 7 flowers.
They are resistant to rain and flowers profusely between June and October.
The foliage is dark green with a bluish-grey sheen.
The shrub grows upright and reaches a height of 120-150 cm. Planting distance: 60 cm.
The flowers of the rose 'Park Abbey Rose' keep very well as cut flower in a bouquet.
Like the other roses, this rose needs a well-fertilized, nutritious soil.
The 'Park Abbey Rose' was consecrated and presented in the Park Abbey in Leuven on the occasion of the 900th anniversary of the Premonstratensian Order.
The Park abbey domain is one of the most valuable abbey sites in Belgium. Both the buildings and the surrounding landscapes with gardens are valuable. A new rose fits the story of this exceptional place because it has undoubtedly been planted here from the initial phase. In the early Middle Ages roses were often planted in monastery gardens because they were used for medicinal purposes
